Vista Family Dentistry

Dr. Dennis Abere is pleased to announce the sale and transition of his private practice to Dr. Vassilis Panagopoulos (“Dr. V”) and Dr. Megan Panagopoulos (“Dr. Megan”) as of June 2017. Dr. V and Dr. Megan are married, and are homegrown Wisconsinites.  They are both proud Marquette graduates, having completed their undergraduate and dental degrees there.  Since their graduation from Dental School in 2008, they have practiced general dentistry in the Milwaukee area with the dream of one day owning their own dental practice. Dr. V and Dr. Megan have chosen to name their practice Vista Family Dentistry, as they strongly believe in taking a long-term view in providing care to the entire family, treating every patient of every age.  They have worked very closely with Dr. Abere to make this a smooth transition, and are committed to continuing the precedent that he has set in providing compassionate, top-quality care to the local community for many years to come.  With Dr. Abere’s staff remaining in place to ensure continuity of care, Dr. V and Dr. Megan look forward to meeting and caring for you at Vista Family Dentistry.

Vassilis K Panagopoulos, DDS

Dr. Vassilis Panagopoulos (“Dr. V”) was born and raised in suburban Milwaukee, graduating from Germantown High School.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Marquette University and continued his education at the Marquette University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2008.  Dr. V became interested in dentistry because it blends biological sciences with engineering concepts and interactive patient care.  His professional affiliations include the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. V has been practicing all aspects of General Dentistry in the Greater Milwaukee area since his graduation from Marquette.  He takes great pride in building lasting relationships with his patients by treating them as he treats his own family.  It is of utmost importance to Dr. V that he understands each patient and helps meet their needs through an individualized treatment plan.

Dr. V has maintained strong ties to suburban Milwaukee, and lives in Menomonee Falls with his wife (Dr. Megan) and their two young daughters, Stella and Lia.  In his free time, he is an avid golfer who can be found on many local courses from snowmelt to snowfall.  Dr. V is also a loyal fan of all local sports teams, and enjoys attending Marquette basketball, Brewers, Bucks, and Badger games with friends and family.  Above all, he is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder, willing to discuss the team with anyone who will listen.

Megan J. Panagopoulos, DDS

Dr. Megan Panagopoulos (“Dr. Megan”) was born and raised in Green Bay and received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University.  Dr. Megan continued her education at the Marquette University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2008 and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.  She also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in 2009.

Since graduation, Dr. Megan has practiced at the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic, primarily treating uninsured and underinsured children of the county.  She was also a part-time faculty member of the Marquette University School of Dentistry and the Milwaukee Area Technical College Dental Hygiene Program.  She remains active in the community, participating in events such as Give Kids a Smile and Mission of Mercy.  Over the years, she has focused the scope of her general dental practice on pediatric care, and is especially committed to providing the children of Vista Family Dentistry with positive dental experiences and healthy smiles.

Dr. Megan lives in Menomonee Falls with her husband (Dr. V) and their two young daughters, Stella and Lia.  In her free time, she loves to travel and spend time with her family.  She and the family can be found enjoying Milwaukee’s many attractions such as the zoo, children’s museum, or any local festival.
